The Tale Of Dark Stuff!

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..... (Or in 2005, in Hollywood: whichever you prefer), there lived a man named Christopher Nolan, a magician in the art of "movies." One day, Christopher was brought on board to reinvent one of the most famous movie stories of all time, the tale of "The Bat-Man." He chose to make it really and dark and serious, even though it was about a rich guy who dressed up as a bat, complete with funny bat ears, and beat people up. He looked something like this:

People loved the movie, even though that weird bat guy kinda spoke like Clint Eastwood choking on a spoon after he smoked 20 packs of cigarettes. He made two great sequels to the movie, and people fell in love with his style.

"Yes!",cried the villagers of the world. "This is what we need! Dark stories! Depressing narratives! By George, this man has done it!" But soon every movie was like this. Not every filmmaker was as talented as the good Christopher Nolan. Soon we had dark and depressing movies everywhere. It became the standard to make your movie "serious and gritty." We just had a dark and gritty Hansel And Gretel movie, a dark Snow White movie, and a depressing Superman movie. And.... no one stepped into to stop it and Hollywood became the most depressing industry on Earth. The end.

If only Nolan did a remake of the Adam West Batman....
